INFLUENCE OF INADEQUATE TRAINING ON HORSE TENDON APPARATUS
Keywords:
training exercise, damage, horse, tendon apparatusAbstract
Quality of horse tendon apparatus is an important factor in the training exercise. A damage occurs especially if inadequate load. Differences are determined by the type of sport, different disabilities occur in case of racing horses and other ones in case of horses in show jumping. These differences are given by the way of injury, where an important role plays varieties of training and racing track surfaces. For racehorses a damage of superficial digital flexor on the left thoracic limb prevails due to unbalanced repetitive strain injury and fast work on hard uneven surface. In case of show jumping horses a damage of strangulation tendon apparatus caused by foreleg improper bandaging or both digital flexor tendon and interosseous muscle predominates after work on a deep and hard surfaces. Inappropriate surface in connection with fast movement of horse increases frequency of tendon organ damage in case of racing canter horses unlike show-jumping ones who train and compete on the sandy arenas at a slow exercise.Downloads
